Fighting To Protect All Of Us
A leader committed to fighting for our community

I'm Robin Wilt, a community organizer, small business owner, public servant, and fighter running to represent New York's 25th Congressional District.
As a first-generation American, I've seen firsthand how access to educational and economic opportunity can transform lives. As immigrants to this country, my parents were able to participate in a fair and humane immigration process that allowed them to provide their children with access to the potential that our country holds, and I'm running for Congress because we need leaders who will secure that the potential for future generations.
I've faced the struggles that many people in our community experience. I know what it's like when families are being squeezed from every side. Groceries, rent, housing costs, transportation, insurance, and utility bills keep climbing while wages stay flat. Jobs and educational opportunity are vanishing. Our human rights are under constant attack.
Even so, our community is resilient. Our power lies in our togetherness. When government turns its back on us, we take care of each other. When crisis hits, our community keeps us safe. That's why we deserve representation that is rooted in the power that is instilled in people of the 25th Congressional District.
We need a fighter who answers to the people, not the corporate interests that threaten to undermine our democracy. We need a representative that leads with courage and believes in transparent governance and maximizing access to the democratic process. We need someone who will fight for us.

Robin with family

Throughout my service to our community, I have worked tirelessly to advance inclusion, equity, and transparent governance. Here are some of the initiatives I've championed:
Initiated the adoption of gender-neutral language in all Town communications.
Established the Inclusion, Diversity, and Equity Advisory Committee to focus on the needs of our increasingly diverse community.
Passed a local law that prohibits housing discrimination based on source of income.
Re-established Brighton's Environmental and Beautification Committee to support recycling and other environmental initiatives.
Passed a local law that requires disciplinary actions by the Chief of Police to be approved by the Town Board.
Coordinated feedback for the state DOT to improve plans for traffic routing and bike lanes.
Sponsored Community Choice Aggregation, enabling the Town to procure energy services on behalf of residents, lowering prices and enabling 100% renewable sourcing.
Passed a local law requiring contractors to have RRP lead certification when applying for building permits, recognized with an award from the Coalition to Prevent Lead Poisoning.
I'm running for Congress to ensure that access to the American Dream is not foreclosed to future generations. Every person in our community deserves the opportunity to build a good life through hard work and access to quality education, affordable healthcare, and economic opportunity.
I support Medicare for All because healthcare is a right, not a privilege. Too many Americans are paying exorbitant premiums and deductibles before seeing any actual coverage. I will work to expand Medicare to cover dental and vision services, mental health and substance abuse treatment, and long-term care.
As a working mother and long-time advocate for economic justice, I'm committed to building an economy where people come first. I'll fight for a living wage tied to inflation, pay equity for women and people of color, workers' rights to organize, and affordable housing for all families.
Corporate money has no place in a government by and for the people. I pledge to work on behalf of the people who elect me, not the corporate interests that threaten to undermine our democracy. Our campaign refuses donations from corporate PACs.
Climate change is the defining challenge of our generation. I'll fight for a Green New Deal, investments in renewable energy, and policies that create good-paying green jobs while protecting our environment for future generations.
I'm committed to criminal justice reform, addressing systemic racism, supporting LGBTQ+ rights, welcoming immigrants and refugees, and ensuring every child has access to quality education regardless of their zip code. We must build a more just and equitable society for everyone.
I'm ready to be that representative.
